What is Probate?

Probate refers to the proceeding in which an instrument is judicially determined to be the duly executed last will of the decedent (or if there is no will, the proceeding in which the decedent’s heirs are judicially determined).

What are the different types of probate administration?

This administration applies if the estate value exceeds $75,000 and the decedent has been dead for two years or less.

This administration applies if the estate value is believed to be less than $75,000 or the decedent has been dead for more than two years.
